A miracle of St. Nektarios the Wonderworker in Jordan (amateur translation)
From what we have heard from the Most-Reverent Metropolitan of Philadelphia Benediktos, a three-month-old boy got very sick with a cavitating pneumonia and entered intensive care supported with Oxygen.

The parents of the small boy were very desperate when the doctors told them that the child did not have any hope of salvation.

As soon as Metropolitan Benediktos learned of this terrible event, he immediately told Fr. Nektarios to visit the hospital every Saturday console the sick people.

To every sick person he went to he would bring the Holy Gospel, the life of St. Nektarios and oil from the vigil lamp of the Saint.

According to the desire of Metropolitan Benediktos, Fr. Nektarios anointed the child with oil from the vigil lamp of the Saint, and O the wonder! The only three month old boy returned home with his parents the next day in perfect health.

It should be noted that the boy's parents were unknown until the time when they called Fr. Nektarios and came to the church of the Saint at the Metropolis to venerate.

With tears in their eyes, they thanked the Saint and related that they would name the child after St. Nektarios the Wonderworker when they baptize him.

The Metropolitan of Philadelphia Benediktos visited the family and the boy and have his blessing.

It's worthy to note that St. Nektarios is especially honored in Jordan after the Metropolitan's attempts to make him known in that place. Furthermore, another seven miracles have been recorded which took place through the grace of the Saint.

Finally, it should be noted that this event had great resonance in the world and bears witness to the truth and the power of the Christian Faith.
